Towing

Towing is the coupling of two objects together where a designated power source is a motor vehicle. These objects will be connected by registered apparatus compliant with the NZTA. If you have participants on your trailer, you will need a safety rail system in stake pockets for placement of rail pockets. These would need to measure 68inch in height from the base floor of your trailer. Should you need assistance we would advise you contact NZ transport authority to provide assurance then submit your findings in writing with your application.

* All vehicles must have a current warrant and registration, you will submit the name of your driver who will hold a current NZ drivers licence. This will be signed off on the day, this is strictly enforced by the Wellington City Council, therefore, we at WIPP will comply. Failure to provide this information would mean forfeiting your float. Should details change closer to the date (eg. type of vehicle used, the person driving vehicle, the number of participants) WIPP must be informed immediately, so proper amendments can be actioned.
