A KEY AUDIENCE

The Wellington International Pride Parade 2018 brings Wellington communities together, attracting thousands of people to this annual event from all over Aotearoa, Australasia, the United States, Europe and nations worldwide. 

We are confident our parade will continue to grow and attract people willing to capitalise on this remarkable event. We see WIPP becoming the must go to annual event in our coolest little capital. Participation has been on the rise since it all started more than 25 years ago. 

Our Mayor Justin Lester and New Zealand's prominent politicians attended the 2017 pride parade. This event captured media coverage across New Zealand's prime time News channels and in countries as far off as Australia and Germany, it was seen by thousands of spectators and celebrated by the nations Capital.

We congratulate our Mayor Justin Lester, and the Wellington City Council who have increased support and funding for next years event to ensure this celebration continues to develop and grow so that WIPP can make its mark on the Asia-Pacific pride circuit.
