Wellington International Pride Parade will be back, bigger, brighter and better in 2021! The world’s coolest little capital will once again come alive with a huge celebration of Pride, Love, Inclusivity and Diversity. There will be Dykes on Bikes. There will be drag queens. There will be floats from community groups, charities, our Forces and corporates; all coming together to show off the glitz, glamour and guts of our community. 1000s of spectators will line the streets to witness the dazzling display of diversity.

Thank You

We couldn't have done it without the support of our sponsors, supporters, dedicated Board, volunteers, entertainers, the 1800 marchers, and the crowds of spectators that came along to party with us. Thank you. Let's do it all again, bigger and even better in 2020! #wipp2019 #ThankYou

Rainbow NZ Charitable Trust

Wellington International Pride parade last weekend was a triumph of diversity, inclusivity and FUN! The Trust was proud to support the event and provide funding including the main stage entertainment featuring the Orchestra Wellington world premiere performance of PRIDE FANFARE, commissioned by renowned kiwi LGBT I+ composer Gareth Farr. It was reported as a cacophony of percussion, outrageous costumes and riotous celebration. We congratulate the organisers for embracing the entire LGBTI+ community including our corporate friends, and heroic service men & women from NZ Defence Force and the New Zealand Police who proudly marched in uniform. Wellington has re-set the bar on inclusive celebration, and inspiring leadership that Auckland and now many more regional PRIDE organisations can aspire to. Well done Wellie!
